Is Originality Just Too Taxing?
Is it so hard to develop and sell a musical that is not based on a movie or vintage TV show? Little Miss Sunshine? Must we?

The only thing I find remotely amusing is the mental composing and staging of numbers. Of course, Grandpa's "f*****g chicken" soliloquy has great potential. And "Mom? Dad? Grandpa Won't Wake Up" could be a heart wrenching solo. A little soft shoe "Do You Know Who Proust Is?" A Busby Berkeley type "I Stopped Talking Because of Friedrich Nietzsche" glitzy production number.

Everyone, just... pretend to be normal original.
