Rats
The good news is that I slept until 7:00 this morning. (Martha doesn’t have school so I didn’t bother with setting the alarm that I always wake up before anyway)

The bad news is I think I’m sick. I may have to skip my Bible study group. And I guess this ruins my plans to go into Chicago and demonstrate with the Green Party. (Just kidding.) Time to scare up some Sudafed, OJ and ibuprofen. I had to work yesterday (which is good) but I can’t afford to lose any ground with the boys schoolwork.

Don’t Drink the Water
Victor Lams has more grim news on the state of affairs in Michigan.
And quite frankly, if the governor of Michigan is thinking ‘hysterically’ (and I mean that with all due reference to the etymology of the word.......) so are lots of other women in positions of power.

He also revisits a theory a I’ve seen elsewhere. It makes sense. And could explain why I haven’t had a baby since 1993. (OK, in my case advancing age may have something to do with it.) But I still think I should put all the males in my house on bottled water and get them off the eau de la tap that is recycled Lake Michigan.

I had hoped to have a baby in the 21st century. Besides loving a large family, I had some illusions about becoming the Gordie Howe of child-bearing. We had babies in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. A fourth decade would have been wild. (And in many ways)
