HOLY WEEK MEME
Lifted from Alicia who found it at Happy Catholic

1. What do you do with your new blessed palm from Palm Sunday?
Tuck it behind the crucifix in the dining room. That’s what my Catholic friends did when we were little, so I figured that’s what you do. Some year I’ll learn how to weave them.

2. What do you do with your old one from last year?
Bring them to work. Father burns them the day before Ash Wednesday. At the risk of sounding like The Church Lady, “Isn’t that convenient!”

3. What do you do during Holy Week in preparation for Good Friday?
As much church & prayer as possible. This year has not been going as smoothly as planned. Which may be a penance in itself. God willing, I'll have next year to "do it right." And reading rather than media racket. Sort of upping the ante on the beginning of Lent. This year I’m re-reading Death on a Friday Afternoon. (The highlighting that I did last year is a big help.)

4. How do you commemorate Christ's Passion on Good Friday?
Stations at Noon. Passion service at 3:00.

5. When do you color Easter eggs?
Saturday afternoon. And then we put a wee bit of dye on the white dog. Just to get him all fancy.

6. When do you buy Easter candy?
As close to Easter as possible. When the kids were younger we actually would go shopping at an all night store after the Easter Vigil Mass. And maybe some bargain stuff on Easter Monday.

7. What is the first thing you plan to do Easter morning?
Peeps for breakfast...
