Happy Valentine’s Day
Dad’s in charge of the supplementary lessons since I have to see the dentist after work. I printed out some new information that I came across. Warned him to read it first and tweak the lesson accordingly. I should hope he’ll just skip over some of the Lupercalia details...especially the februatio part. ( I kind of like it...makes boring ol’ February sound a lot more exciting.)

In ancient Rome priests would sacrifice a dog and a goat on this day. There are two dogs here that I would nominate for a re-enactment. It would be nice to catch part of the Westminster Kennel Club dog show on TV tonight. Dog show dogs are fun to watch. They don’t shed in my house, track mud in from outside and they never, ever leave little surprises. On that note, I must excuse myself. I have a small rug to launder before I leave. Thanks to some dog’s Valentine surprise.

(Note to Embot: Will do our best to keep your Valentine safe until you stop in tomorrow.)
