Catch ya next year!
International Women's Day has come and gone and I've missed it. No chocolates, flowers, nothin'. Oh, sorry, it's about....
At noon, marchers will gather at the plaza and then move on to protest a few retailers on State Street. From there, they are expected to protest outside the consulates of the Philippines, Israel, England and Ireland to highlight such issues as the sex trade, abortion rights and the problems created for women by war.

So we're against the sex trade, war and abortion rights? Right? Well, I am. Somehow I don't think I would have fit in with this group. (wish I could figure out how to link to picture of groovy nun leading march) And what are they protesting on State Street? Marshall Field's no longer making Frango mints in-house? The closing of Fannie May? These are important issues folks. And not just for the displaced candy makers. They affect all women!!!
