One of my new job duties is to do the ordering of certain supplies. Yesterday I managed to get an order to Barton-Cotton for more Mass cards. We were out of Christ Knocking...

a favorite. Especially among men and Protestants uncomfortable with Mass cards. It looks a lot like a nice Lutheran Sunday School picture. The one available now is OK, but none of them measure up to the powerful symbolism of Holman Hunt’s Light of the World, which I assume is the prototype for these knock-offs.

While I was at it, I ordered two designs which we hadn’t previously used....
and

I hope that is OK. The pastor was too busy to ask and I don’t think he really busies himself with these decisions. And I thought if I started polling everyone who passes through the rectory it could be August before we reached a decision. I’m not trying to phase out Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Our Lady of Guadalupe, just expand our inventory. And I'm keeping the cards the same dimensions as the cards we already have, so there won't be an envelope problem. I hope this is OK...
