My, my, what have we here? An extra day! What shall I do with it?
1 - Catch up on laundry and household stuff. Yeah, I know it’s the Sabbath, but since I’m on the Church payroll, God knows what I’ve been doing with the other six days of the week. (I’ll show him my pay stubs....)
2 - Organize the school stuff for the upcoming week.
3 - Pack a gift to mail to an old friend whose birthday is tomorrow. Make sure I remember to mail it tomorrow and give her a call, too.
4 - Pack gift to mail to my nephew and new brother-in-law, whose birthdays were last week. Ooops.
5 -Take the boys out for a nice little snack after Mass.
6 - Organize a work party to tidy up the yard. The sudden thaw has left things looking mighty gross.
7 - Blow off the Oscars and go to see The Passion. This is my only chance to get out to the movies until next Friday. Don’t want to wait. And I know how the Oscars end - every year. With me dozing off during an acceptance speech (one of the polite ones, with no political ranting or embarrassing behavior) and having to check the results in the paper the next morning. So why not skip it altogether. The winners in all categories (including egregious behavior) will be all over the place tomorrow.
