Red Room!
Embot is back from her quick trip up to visit my sister. She gave me a virtual tour of the new house (including the red library) on her digitial camera. I am looking forward to see the pictures in a larger format so they can incite true envy. Especially the library. The thought of a room dedicated just to books makes me.......envious. And a red room with with shelving is just so......enviable.

Em has pronounced my sister’s fiance “Normal. But, you know, not too normal - or he wouldn’t fit in with the rest of us.” He looks quite the way imagined....at least on the little digital camera.

I had a nice chat with my sister last night. I think she’s over being angry with me because I couldn’t get away to visit her. Oh, well, I’m working on it.... I wish I had been there to help her through her trip to David’s Bridal Salon. She said she left almost in tears - after the consultants had dressed her up in a manner that could only remind her of the scene in E.T. where the kids dress up the little alien guy. And I do think it would have been quite inspirational to witness her quizzing the staff about the suitability of any wedding dresses for church wear because they show so much cleavage and just, well, flesh. It wouldn’t be surprising coming from me. But when my agnostic (let’s keep praying for her!) sister is appalled by fashion that is an “affront to God” that is an event.

More later on how my sister, my daughters and some assorted others wound up at a polka Mass.
