to the kind commentator who reassures me that my ‘open mic’ gaff was not as destructive as I had imagined. I hope that debacle completes my trifecta of dumb mistakes...starting with licking a self-adhesive postage stamp, continuing with asking a rectory visitor looking for a particular priest, “Does he know his name?” I went to bed early Sunday night and I think I am back to normal. Or some approximation thereof.
