Friday Five

1. If your life were a movie, what would the title be? Drastically Discounted by the Half-Dozen!

2. What songs would be on the soundtrack? Lots of Beatles, some Vivaldi, Faure, Coldplay and Beach Boys.

3. Would it be a live-action film or animated? Why? Live action to capture all the nuances of tragi-comedy. Of course, claymation might be good, too.

4. Casting: who would play you, members of your family, friends, etc?This will take too long to think about. I may have to think while working today and add to this later.

Rick? It’s a shame John Candy is dead. So how about Robin Williams in Absent Minded Professor mode.
My best friend? Jessica Lange. She looks just like Jessica Lange. In fact, these days she looks better than Jessica Lange.
The kids? ....need more time to think, but I think Chuck and Eddie could be handled quite nicely by Frankie Muniz and Erik Per Sullivan.
My old boyfriend who looked like Al Pacino? Al. There’s gotta be a place for all in my movie.
Dave, the man who lived on our couch? Will Smith.

5. Describe the movie preview/trailer. Loud, colorful, poignant. “Get ready to laugh. Get ready to cry. Your soul will be touched. So touched that your favorite soft drink will come shooting out of your nose....”
