A Website with ‘personality’
There was a time I thought Michael Moore was cute. What was I thinking?

Dept. of Lame Poetic Excuses......
I have liked this treacly piece of work ever since I first heard it recited on Elton John’s Friends soundtrack album (a treacly piece of work in itself, which I do regret losing somewhere in the past decades) and this is one of those days when it comes to mind. This may be the last ‘nice’ day of 2002, so the boys are out in the front yard whacking each other with noodles. Later we’ll go to the Forest Preserve.

I Meant To Do My Work Today by Richard Le Gallienne

I meant to do my work today,
But a brown bird sang in the apple tree,
And a butterfly flitted across the field,
And all the leaves were calling me.

And the wind went sighing over the land,
Tossing the grasses to and fro,
And a rainbow held out its shining hand--
So what could I do but laugh and go?
